Italian grandparents emigrated from Campania in early 1900s to Ellis Island ... I'm half Italian (as a child was very blonde with green eyes, pale skin, so no one believed me except for my last name). Wish I had learned soooo much more about cooking from my "Nonna" (who was actually my father's Zia) Will love visiting this site to round out my Italian cooking repertoire !!!
