I am an artist and a Nonna to 4 grandchildren. My husband is part Italian his Nonna lived to be 101 years old. He was familiar with his families great cooking. They never wasted a crumb. If dough was left it became a bowtie topped with Suger/cinnamon when it backed in oven.
